Orazaka

Orazaka for Mac

Orazaka on your Mac.

Run the whole engine on this Mac, or connect it to your workspace. A control panel in the menu bar — and Orazaka sees only the folders you choose.

Apple Silicon · macOS 14+ · 6.3 MB · Version 0.1.0-dev

A test build: not yet signed by Apple — the first launch takes one extra step.

Orazaka for Mac

First launch

The app is not signed by Apple yet, so macOS asks once.

  1. 1

    Drag to Applications

Open the .dmg and drag Orazaka onto the Applications folder.

  2. 2

    Right-click, then Open

In Applications, right-click Orazaka and choose Open — a plain double-click is blocked.

  3. 3

    Confirm Open

macOS asks if you are sure: choose Open. It never asks again.

If macOS says the app is damaged

That is macOS's quarantine on an unsigned download, not a broken file. Remove it once, in a terminal:

bash
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Orazaka.app

Orazaka for Mac

Two ways to use it

Switch in the app's settings; your folders stay yours in both.

  • Connected to your workspace

The app opens your hosted Orazaka (dev.orazaka.com by default, https only). You sign in on the Orazaka page itself — the app never sees or stores your password.

  • Everything on this Mac

Start, stop and check the local engine from the panel. Models run on your Mac's own chip (Apple Silicon); nothing leaves the machine unless you connect a cloud model.

  • Only the folders you choose

Grant folders with the macOS picker, preview their files, drop files in, revoke any time. Your home folder, system folders and ~/.ssh can never be granted.

If something goes wrong

Run doctor

In the panel, Run doctor checks your Mac (Node.js, the chip) and whether each service answers, then lists what to fix.

bash
orazaka doctor

Read the logs

The panel shows the live output; for one service, open its logs.

bash
orazaka logs --service router

Docker is not running

Start OrbStack, Colima or Docker Desktop, then Start again.

Node.js is missing

This build needs Node.js 22 or later on the Mac.

bash
brew install node

What you need

  • A Mac with Apple Silicon, macOS 14 or later.
  • Node.js 22 or later.
  • For everything on this Mac: Docker (OrbStack, Colima or Docker Desktop).
  • No Windows or Linux build yet: on those, run Orazaka on a server (/docs/self-hosting).
